All our services are subject to the payment and working terms in our Studio Policy.

All orders above $1000 will be charged a 3% credit card processing fee.

Printing

Our Pigment Printing prices include standard optimization and adjustment for print, and are subject to our Proofing Policy (see below). All prints can be subject to additional fees for borderless printing and extra handling.

This is our a la carte price list for our Printing Service, displaying common print sizes. We can print and trim to any custom size. If you do not see the size you need listed here, please contact us for a quote.

Pricing is organized into three columns: Standard Stock, Premium Stock, and Ultra Premium Stock, indicating the surface you print on. If you are interested in a surface that is not listed here, we may still carry it, see our full Archival Inkjet Papers list or contact us to inquire. Our Ultra Premium rates are a starting reference and depending on the material, can fluctuate.

Re-prints of the same image, with the same size and paper, receive an automatic 20% discount. Bulk volumes can be discounted further.

Proofing Policy

We aim for there to be no surprises when printing with us, and highly recommend proofing. Our Print Services include one complimentary 8 x 10 in. proof for dedicated orders of 20 x 24 in. and above. For additional proofs, or proofs larger than 8 x 10 in., all proofs are 50% of their a la carte price. The Brooklyn Editions studio reserves the right to determine when to begin charging for proofing and will always inform the client beforehand.

Certificates of Authenticity — $50

We offer Hahnemühle Certificates of Authenticity, including official hologram, on Hahnemühle standard A4-size paper. To learn more about these certificates, visit our Certificates of Authenticity page.

Canvas Stretching

We offer Canvas Stretching services for our prints at an additional cost. To see the types of canvas wrap we can print for stretching, please visit our Canvas & Linens page. If you would like a custom quote that includes both printing and stretching for a size not listed, please contact us.

Scanning

Our Scanning Service provides you with the highest resolution color-accurate master files fit for maximum enlargement or high-end reproduction larger than the original. This service includes a complimentary consultation to determine the best way to scan your artwork, and a light file clean-up and adjustment to match the original.

Scanning rates are based on the physical dimensions of each artwork and the resolution (PPI) we scan it at, and may be variable dependent on a few factors. The table below shows standard rates for scanning, but advanced scanning such as PBR or texture scanning can increase costs. We will determine the best scanning method during your consultation and confirm the quote with you then.



Neon colors, metallics, gloss, and special pigments can prove challenging to capture, which can be discussed during your consultation. If you have any questions or are unsure about whether your artwork can be scanned by us, please contact us directly with the specifications of your artwork.

Intake Policy

All artwork must be dry and fixed. Oil paints, pigments, charcoal, graphite, and pastel residue can permanently stain or damage our equipment.

If your artwork is in a frame, we have the ability to scan through glass. However, deframing is preferred. If your artwork is in a fragile state, contact us beforehand and we will determine how to best handle the artwork.

Scanning turnaround is typically 1-3 days. Expedited service can be arranged. Please contact us in advance.

Drop-Off / Pick-Up Terms

All artwork and originals can be dropped off in-person or via courier to our studio. Please call or email us in advance of a drop-off so we know to expect you.Our studio will confirm a Pick-Up date with you of which all artwork and originals must be collected by. Any artwork, originals, or transport materials must be collected by this date to avoid holding fees or potential disposal of items.  Brooklyn Editions is not responsible for any items held beyond their agreed collection date.

Artwork Insurance & Limit of Liability

Brooklyn Editions does not insure any artwork or originals that we take in for scanning. While we take the utmost care to handle and store artwork and originals in our possession, should any material submitted involve high value the onus is upon the client to assess their artwork and originals’ value and take out the appropriate measures to protect and insure it.

While we take every precaution for the safekeeping and handling of all artwork, painting, drawing, print, photograph, digital file, negative, and transparency, submitting these materials for processing, scanning, printing, or other handling constitutes an agreement by you that any damage or loss by our company, subsidiary, or agents due to unpredictable defects in materials, or even due to the negligence or other fault of our company, subsidiary, or agents, will entitle you only to replacement with a fair equivalent to your media costs.

Except for such replacement, the acceptance by our company, subsidiary, or agents of the film, print, slide, negative, transparency or artwork is without other warranty or liability, and recovery for any incidental or consequential damages is excluded. Should any material submitted involve high value the onus is upon the client to appropriately insure it. By placing an order, you hereby agree to all of the terms and policies outlined above.

Photoshop / Digital Services

Digital Services cover Retouching, Photo Restoration, Color Correction, RAW Conversions, Image Optimization, and all other Photoshop work.  Visit our Retouching and Photo Restoration pages to learn more.

Our Digital Services always start with a complimentary consultation to determine the best course of action for a project. Signing off on a plan prior to starting any work allows us to work within a client’s budget for a project, and manage expectations based on the number of hours agreed upon.

We have 2 modes of Digital Service: Standard Retouching and Supervised Retouching. Standard Retouching ($150 / hr) is performed remotely without the client present. Supervised Retouching ($225 / hr) is performed with the client on-site, allowing for immediate feedback and changes.

Our Digital Services start at 30 minutes, and are charged in additional 30 minute increments. Whether you choose our Standard Retouching or Supervised Retouching service, your hours will compound accordingly every 30 minutes.

Rush fees for our Digital Services are subject to higher rates. For a comprehensive quote, please contact us.

Please note that all Digital Service work requires an upfront deposit based on agreed hours that is non-refundable.

Mounting & Acrylic Facemounting

We provide Mounting and Acrylic Facemounting services for our prints to help clients professionally finish their work and have it ready for immediate display. These services are only applicable to prints we produce.

The table below illustrates our Mounting and Facemounting costs on select materials and sizes. If you do not see a size or material you are interested in, please contact us to inquire and receive a quote.

Mounting and Facemounting costs displayed are inclusive of: 1) printing, 2) mounting, 3) installation of a wooden French cleat brace (if applicable). Aluminium braces are also available at an additional cost, and may be the only bracing option available at specific sizes marked with (alum brace). Bracing may not be available at certain sizes marked with (no brace).

All Mounting costs are subject to change depending on rush fees, print sensitivity which requires additional handling, transportation fees, or additional finishing services such as edge beveling.

Our Mounting services will add 2 weeks to turnaround. Rush services can be available at an additional cost. Please contact us for all rush inquiries to receive a quote.

CMYK Proofing

We can provide verified color proofs to GRACoL and FOGRA standards. Learn more about our verified certifications and process on our CMYK Proofing page.

For clients moving into press production, our verified proofs can be used as the final step before going to press, or we can help edit files and bring them to a production-ready state. We can perform RGB to CMYK conversions, adjust files, and do specific retouching to clean up and optimize images as needed for any project. We can do additional rounds for each proof to determine the progress and reach the final press-ready versions.

Please Note

Our CMYK verified proofs are accurate to the standards of commercial CMYK offset printing and used before going to press. These are not the same as the proofs we make for our fine art prints which have an RGB workflow.

Shipping / Fulfillment

We deliver your prints from our studio in New York City to anywhere they need to be in the world — locally, domestically, internationally. Safely packed with high-quality archival materials and secured in sturdy packaging, we ensure your prints arrive safely to their destination.

We ship prints flat or rolled, and can build custom boxes or crates if required at additional cost. Flat packing fees will be charged for packages larger than 16 x 20 in. Please contact us for a custom quote.

For clients handling artist edition sales, we also offer Artist Fulfillment & Ecommerce Integration services. We handle the fulfillment logistics and production of your print sale in a full comprehensive package that we custom tailor to your specific needs. Damage & Lost Policy

All packaged shipped by our studio are subject to our Damage & Loss Policy. In shipping with us, you agree to these terms.

In the event of damage as a result of carrier fault, please do not dispose or refused delivery of any and all items in the delivery, inform our studio at once, and wait for us to follow up with insurance claim instructions. We are prepared to replace any item(s) and file an insurance claim as long as the receiver is able to provide clear photographic evidence of the damage that follow’s the insurance claim’s specifications. Insurance claims and print replacements will only be done upon receiving such documentation.

In the event packages are lost due to incorrect information provided by the client, our studio will not be liable for the lost package. In the event a package is lost by the carrier, please contact us immediately and we will work with you to resolve this issue.
