Who Brooklyn Editions is the brainchild of Stephen Gross, a professional photographer and educator with 20 years of experience. The endless hours he spent in the darkroom combined with his digital expertise led him to create this service. He was frustrated that despite technological advances, getting predictable, accurate digital prints at the major labs only became increasingly problematic. He knew that critical color was be easier and faster in the digital world. Stephen began by printing his own work and then began to print for his brother Alex, an established painter. Soon after many friends and associaltes who were also discouraged by the major labs started calling. Before long, Brooklyn Editions was born.
